69% of Snapchat users are excited to reconnect with their loved ones in-person

Snapchat’s in-app survey reveals its user’s behaviour and insights into evolving habits, purchases, and more, amid COVID-19.

With lockdown restrictions gradually lifting, 69% of Snapchat users are excited about reconnecting with loved ones in-person and resuming regular activities. Socialising in restaurants and bars (55%) and going to hair salons and beauty establishments (48%) are some of the anticipated activities.

79% are relying on text messages and chat services to stay connected with family and friends. Phone or video calls and meeting up in-person (while maintaining a social distance) are preferred methods among 75% and 31% of users respectively.

However, 55% of those polled plan to maintain social distancing in public, and 54% plan to avoid large groups. Further, 34% still plan to keep using pickup and delivery services. 60% are looking to save more money in the future.
