Each voice tweet can capture up to 140 seconds of audio.
Twitter has announced the launch of audio tweets that will allow users to record and attach audio snippets to their tweets. The feature will be first available on iOS for a “limited group of people”. Availability for Android has not been confirmed yet.
Users who have access to the feature will see a new waveform icon beside the camera icon while drafting a tweet. A red recording button will appear once users tap the waveform icon. Users can scroll and listen to audio tweets with a dock on Twitter’s iOS app.
Audio is only limited for original tweets. A new thread is automatically created once the time limit is reached. The feature aims to “add a more human touch to the way we use Twitter”.
