Viamedia surveyed businesses in the auto, furniture, healthcare, non-profits, retail, real estate entertainment, and other industries.
The report revealed that 75% of local US businesses stayed open through the pandemic. 83% of respondents reported changing their marketing strategy due to the pandemic. Of those polled, 46% of the companies have been offering incentives and promotions to consumers.
Currently 28% of participants are looking for tips on how to make marketing more effective, while 45% are seeking creative advertising incentives. Despite the pandemic, 36% feel their businesses will remain the same as before the crisis.
However, 9% of businesses plan to expand, while 10% have online expansion ideas. Also, 40% of businesses reported having an annual marketing budget of $75,000, of which 39% goes to for advertising. Most of the survey respondents were owners (59%) and advertising agencies (29%).
