Publishers Audience Measurement Company (PAMCo) found that national news readership across print and digital increased overall by 18%.
Consumption of national print and digital news brands in the UK surpassed 30 million in Q1 2020, as per the report. The period seeing an extra 6.6 million daily digital readers was reflective of a 35% increase in news readership (across all national brands) YoY.
Also news brands like national dailies, Sunday news titles and all major evening and morning regional titles reach an estimated 49 million people in a month. This is 48 million in a week and 40 million in a day.
To daily readership statistic is 15 million more daily unique visitors than Google. More than 25 million people now consume a digital national news brand every day.
