Almost half of the UK consumers are watching live TV due to coronavirus pandemic​

Havas Media Group released COVID-19 Media Behaviours Report after surveying 1,478 UK consumers.

The report found that media consumption has increased due to COVID-19 pandemic, and live TV, social media, streaming, VOD, and newspapers have seen the highest jump. 49% of the respondents said they were watching live TV, followed by social media (40%) and streaming platforms (39%).

This article states that among all social media platforms, Facebook and WhatsApp have witnessed the maximum growth. While 33% of the respondents are using Facebook more than usual times, 28% of them have increased their use of WhatsApp.
