A YouGov survey found 27% of the UK people think the coronavirus outbreak would last until summer. But another 13% expect the situation would continue till autumn, while further 5% also expect it to last until the winter.

A quarter of Brits believe the pandemic would last until spring next year or even later. This piece states that with lockdowns in numerous countries like China, France and Italy in response to the pandemic, such measures could be taken in the UK as well.

While Britons were anxious to know for how long they would have to be isolated, the country’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Witty expected the peak would be somewhere between late May to mid-June. The Guardian also stated that the epidemic would last until spring 2021.
