The process to appeal removals will continue.
YouTube is seeing policy enforcement changes as the company responds to the Covid-19 pandemic. As part of the changes, YouTube will now rely heavily on its automated review systems for the short term.
This is as the company has fewer people to review its content amid the pandemic. For the creators this means that the automated system could end up removing more videos from the platform, regardless whether those videos were violating the platform’s policy.
Systems that help appeal against such removal will continue to be available. There could, however, be a delay in appeal reviews. YouTube also intends to be “more cautious” when promoting content like livestreams.
