The platform’s partnership with the World Health Organisation will enable users to question experts.

The ByteDance-owned social media platform has entered a content partnership program with WHO. TikTok says the health organisation would create an informational page that “provides trustworthy information, offers tips on staying safe and preventing the spread of the virus, and dispels myths around COVID-19.” 

Users across countries would be able to access information resources from the Discover tab on the app, and it would also appear when someone searches for coronavirus-related topics. This partnership would also involve a live-stream from WHO allowing users to pose questions directly to the experts.  

The organisation would use its verified TikTok account to share awareness videos around the pandemic. It would enable WHO to connect with the app’s younger audiences effectively.
