NBCUniversal is unveiling “Peacock”, a free premium ad-supported streaming service comprising subscription tiers which offer over 600 movies and 400 series, and live and on-demand content across news, sports, late night and reality. The company has announced a tiered offering where consumers can access Peacock using web, mobile and connected-TV devices.

This includes “Peacock Free”, a free, ad-supported option for users with over 7500 hours of programming. Next is “Peacock Premium”, which is bundled at no additional cost for Comcast and Cox subscribers. This ad-supported option also includes full season Peacock originals and tent-pole series.

Peacock Premium may be bundled with more partners in future. Premium customers may upgrade to an ad-free experience for an additional $5 per month, or customers can purchase the ad-free option directly for $9.99 per month.
