Where Snapchat skews younger in terms of its user base, Pinterest enjoys a wider appeal across age groups. 66.5% of Snapchat users are 12-17 year olds, and only 28.1% of Pinterest users fall in the same age bracket.
In 2020, Pinterest users are forecasted to account for 41.1% of all social network users in the US. This figure is expected to see growth in the next three years, whereas Snapchat may “fall flat” in 2021.
