Amazon has announced the launch and integration of a new Fire TV Edition to cars by late 2020. To bring Fire TV-enabled rear-seat TV set to cars, Amazon will be collaborating with Fiat Chrysler and BMW.
The Fire TV system will require Wi-Fi and a car’s built-in LTE connection to stream. Additionally, Amazon plans on offering offline viewing as well. Marc Whitten, vice president at Amazon Fire TV states that this edition will bring Fire TV to “more categories and more screens.”
A lot of brands will launch smart TVs in the UK, India, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain and Mexico in 2020. Amazon’s Fire TV currently has 40 million global users.
