The age can be changed as per each country’s rules and regulations.

Business and creator accounts on Instagram will now be able to set an age limit for their content directly through the app. This feature can be very useful for brands and creators promoting products exclusively to adults.

The ability has previously existed via internal tools and is now available in-app. A global default age can be set for viewing content. Depending on specific countries, this can be modified so as to comply with local laws and regulations.

Users who do not meet the age limit will not be able to access the content from those accounts in their feed and stories. A “restricted account” note will be displayed on screen if they try to search for accounts they aren’t eligible for.
