2020's Ad expenditure expected to grow by 4.9%.

Global advertisers are ready to increase adspend by 4.3% in 2020 with media prices rising by 6.1%, according to a Zenith’s Advertising Expenditure Forecasts report. The study also said that commercial audiences supplied by media owners would reduce by 1.6%, leading to a price hike in buying spaces.

The study highlights that the UK is likely to outperform the overall global market. With, 4.9% adspend boost in 2020, an increase from 3.2% in 2019. An earlier Group M report found that a 44% growth will help the UK overtake Japan as the third biggest ad market in the world.

The US-China trade war will also hit the global ad market and reduce growth by 1.1% in 2020. The global ad market will also benefit from a host of significant upcoming events like the Olympics.
