Facebook’s Spark AR Studio, where brands can create custom AR effects like try-before-you-buy for better shopping experience is an example of recent developments using AR. Further, the rollout of 5G will offer faster loading time, 8K resolution streaming and more for better AR implementation, whereas, web AR will negate the need for native AR apps.
According to the author, brands should use AR exclusively in alignment with their business needs, such that it offers a solution to a problem. AR gamifies consumer experience, hence its use should be in a manner that promotes interactive audience engagement without overcomplicating the experience.
