Facebook has added three new features to Messenger to let brands communicate with their customers on the platform. The updates include “icebreaker” questions that brands can include in their Messenger profile via the API.
The questions are meant to assist brands in starting conversations by asking common interest questions. The Click to Messenger Ad update allows brands to choose which of their apps (that are connected to Messenger) would they want to connect to the feature.
Also, Facebook has introduced emoji reactions and message replies that users can use during conversations with a business on Facebook Messenger. This will add more “clarity” to conversation and let brands respond to queries better.
