$8.8 billion is likely to be spent on Halloween in 2019.

A report by The Shelf states that 95% of people are planning to celebrate Halloween this year by buying candy with more people decorating on this holiday. 56% of Gen Z in the US are less likely to stay home than 66% of Halloween celebrants overall.

73% of Gen Z are more likely to don costumes than the 47% of overall celebrants. And, 47.1% of purchases, a majority, are expected to be made at discount stores.  

$8.8 billion is expected to be spent on Halloween this year with 67% of shoppers spending about $3.2 billion on costumes. 933 million ideas would be pinned for Halloween in 2019, up from 273 million in 2015.
