Brands can expect to see increase in engagement through “simple, immersive and user-obsessive experiences.”
Instagram announced testing a product launch reminder feature aimed at helping brands generate buzz around product launches. With the photo-sharing app working towards being more than a place for product discovery, brands will have to develop product plans around this feature.
The “Set Reminder” call-to-action will convey a product’s launch date, time and product preview, and will be available in posts. This can be set to appear on posts ahead of a launch. Further, a new product launch sticker will also be seen in Stories.
This test complements Instagram’s in-app e-commerce checkout capability which was introduced in March. The checkout feature is currently open to a limited set of brands and small influencer groups via Shopping for Creators, during testing.
