Merkle’s digital marketing report Q2 2019 has revealed that Google’s overall organic search visits have seen a drop of 8% as compared to Q2 2018. At 49%, DuckDuckGo saw growth in organic search visits.
Bing saw a decline of 26% and Yahoo of 11%. In organic search visits through mobile, DuckDuckGo saw an improvement of 64% year-over-year. Google’s 1% gain of organic search visit share appears to be at Bing’s cost which went down 1%.
Additionally, the study revealed that total visits by organic search went down 6% year-over-year in Q2 2019. Q1 2019 had already witnessed a 2% decline.
