This is likely to increase to 23.6 million people in 2020.

A market report by eMarketer highlighted that a larger number of users than earlier predicted are likely to shop through smart speakers. According to revised estimates, in 2019, 31 million people in the US will make their purchases through a smart speaker. This is an improvement of 31.6% from 2018.

The study states that about 21 million people will buy at least one product through a smart speaker this year. It’s projected to rise up to 23.6 million in the coming year and increase up to 25.9 million in 2021.

Over 4 in 10 consumers in the US will be using smart speakers for shopping by 2021. The only concern that users have when purchasing via a smart speaker is being unable to view the product.
