The company is looking to improve its ad targeting options.

This article states that LinkedIn is planning to make ads more sophisticated with new targeting options. The new feature will enable advertisers to retarget LinkedIn users who engage with their ads on the professional networking site.

This new feature is expected to be launched in 2020. The Microsoft-owned platform is also expected to add more location-based targeting options. The new features will add to already existing targeting features based on interest and lookalike audiences.

LinkedIn already allows targeting subscribers by company, demographics, education and job experience along with advertisers’ own contact lists. Vancouver-based Take Some Risk’s Duane Brown said that due to high-quality traffic of the platform, advertisers will get good returns with LinkedIn’s new feature even if “CPCs can be higher with super focused targeting”.
