An eMarketer report found that US adults are expected to spend 12.09 hours on an average per day with some form of media this year. They would spend six hours on digital media and 3.5 hours on TV daily.

Radio could be consumed for a little over an hour each day. Newspapers will account for 11 minute and magazines for nine minutes. While the US ranks first, UK stands at the fifth position with 9.38 hours of average time spent with total media.

Total average daily time spent with media in the US increased by 1.05 hours between 2009 and 2015. This piece predicts that the events like the presidential election and Summer Olympics in 2020 could cause a four-minute increase in daily time spent in the country.
