18% of DTC brands are looking to invest in Amazon ads.

Yotpo’s study of over 500 direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands revealed that despite talk of brands moving their ad business from Facebook to Amazon, 52% of the respondents are looking to increase their spending on Facebook ads. This is against 18% of respondents planning to invest more in Amazon ads.

The report also found that 73% of DTC companies use customer reviews on their sites. Smaller brands are being better at merging user-generated content, such as photos and customer videos.

Medium brands ($5-$100 million) are more likely to increase their spending with Google. While the $100 million-plus companies focusing on conversion rates invest largely in Facebook. As far as community building features are concerned, small brands (under $5 million) use customer photos and 43% of them include customer videos.
