Time spent on Instagram by users per day increases by a minute over last year

An eMarketer report has found that average daily Instagram usage is expected to go up by a minute to reach 27 minutes. This is an increment of a minute from last year.

The average per day time spent on Facebook remains unchanged from last year, at 38 minutes. This is anticipated to drop by a minute to reach 37 minutes per day by next year. The average daily Snapchat usage by adults will be 26 minutes all through 2021, downgraded from 28 minutes per day estimated for the platform for 2019. Then, Facebook and Snapchat usage has plateaued.

The report highlights that the average daily usage of social networks in the US dropped by about 1.5 minutes last year. eMarketer forecasts this number to remain “virtually” the same this year.
