The Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence surveyed 172 communication professionals.

The research found that 84% of respondents believe that AI is an opportunity for companies to become communication leaders. However, 63% of those surveyed say that that the industry is not preparing professionals for AI while only 25% believe that they are ready for its challenges.

An additional 84% of them feel that it is now a vital role for professionals to advocate for AI tools. 28% of those surveyed think that the best way of “getting to grips” with AI is by self-learning.

Marketing and operations are the driving forces behind the need for AI related communications. The communication strategies that the respondents highlighted included 28% for AI messages, 24% for identifying the AI business need, and 12% for setting AI communication objectives.
