For deliveries, Google has partnered with food-delivery services.

Given Google’s aim of helping users “get things done” (GTD), the move to enabling end-to-end food ordering is so that Google can make its channels, properties and ads more “transactional”. This is part of the brand’s effort to monetise Assistant.

User can place their orders by clicking on “Order Online” and opting for delivery or pick up. Consumers can pay via their credit card linked with Google Pay. Deliveries would be handled by third-party partners like DoorDash, Postmates, Slice, ChowNow and others.

Google Assistant will also be able to place orders or reorders. Although, this would currently not be possible on smart speakers and displays. Google Assistant will also be able to access past order history and display them for the user’s approval.
