Voting Intention: Conservatives 40%, Labour 41% (7-8 Jan)

Latest YouGov Westminster voting intention figures

The first YouGov/Times voting intention survey of 2018 sees the Conservatives start the new year on 40% (from 40% on 19-20 December, the last poll conducted in 2017) and Labour on 41% (from 42% in the previous poll).

Elsewhere, Liberal Democrat voting intention stands at 9% (from 7%) while 11% would vote for other parties (from 10%).

On who would make the best Prime Minister, 37% of people prefer Theresa May while 31% favour Jeremy Corbyn. A further 31% can't choose between the two.
