This has been criticised as a negative election campaign, but how have the voters perceived it?

In a new YouGov poll for Red Box, we asked them if they found the policies and ideas put forward by the two main leaders as generally optimistic or pessimistic.

When we asked the same question back in September 2010, David Cameron was seen as net +10 percent optimistic, now he's at net +19. Ed Miliband meanwhile has moved from net +15 optimistic, but now he's only at net +8.
