The latest voting intention figures in our daily polls for the Sun have the Conservatives on 39%, Labour on 44% and the Liberal Democrats on 8%. Our daily trackers now have been showing Labour with a pretty consistent lead of around 5 points since early January.

On yesterday's poll we also asked people what they saw as the most important issues facing themselves and the country. As usual the economy was seen as the priority, 82% of people saw the economy as an important issue facing the country, its highest score since the election. Other important issues facing the country were immigration (picked by 43% of people), health (33%) and taxation (26%).

Asked about which issues were most important to them and their families, the economy remained top on 71%, but tax (38%), health (34%) and pensions (34%) were seen the next important, with immigration much further down the table on only 13%.
