Our latest daily voting intention figures for the Sun yesterday showed the Conservatives on 37%, Labour on 42%, the Liberal Democrats on 9% and other parties on 11%.
Labour's lead over the Conservatives seems to be stablising at around 5 points, but there has also been a significant rise in the proportion of people saying they would back one of the minor parties - parties like the Greens, UKIP and the BNP and, in Scotland and Wales the SNP and Plaid.
Between the election and November, our daily polling consistently had these 'others' at below 10% in the polls, between November and December they were at 9%-10%, this last week they’ve crept up to 11%. Looking at the detailed breakdown of support for the smaller parties, the biggest beneficiary seems to be UKIP, who are now regularly reaching up to 5% in our voting intention polls.
