Shoes, sex and success

Few of those who watched the first Sex and the City feature film (Sex and the City: The Movie) were deterred from wanting to watch the second, finds a recent survey commissioned by the Sun newspaper.

Just 12% of the British public who saw the first movie claim they will not watch the second, Sex and the City 2, released Friday. An overwhelming 79% of those who watched the first film claimed to like it.

As can be expected, the survey confirms that the first instalment was a major hit with its female audience – a mere five percent of women who saw it said that they actively did ‘not like’ it. This will be sweet music to the ear of the producers who can look forward to good Box Office figures for the second instalment, especially since a massive 19% of the population claim to have seen the first film.

The survey also finds that over a third of Brits (36%) have seen one or more episodes of the iconic TV series of the same name that ran from 1998 to 2004.
