Our latest daily polling figures for the Sun (fieldwork 4th - 5th April) are:

  • Conservative 41%
  • Labour 31%
  • Liberal Democrat 18%
  • Others 11%

Note: With the election about to be called for May 6, YouGov has adjusted its voting intention question. We now ask:

1. The general election will be held on May 6. On a scale of 0 (certain NOT to vote) to 10 (absolutely certain to vote), how likely are you to vote in the general election?

2. (to all except those answering ‘0’) If you do vote, which party will you support?

From today, our headline voting intention will take account of the likelihood to vote. People who answer ‘10’ will count as one respondent, those who answer ‘9’ will count as 0.9, ‘8’ as 0.8 and so on.

In today’s poll, this turnout adjustment has the effect of increasing the Conservative vote share by one point, from 40 to 41. When figures are rounded to the nearest integer, no other party’s percentage support changes.
