Every human mind is unique, and full of insights and opinions - and yet so many of them are never shared.
We want to improve the way people learn from each other, and share each other's wisdom - unlocking the "wisdom of crowds" for all our panel members.
It's a big mission, and we are looking for volunteers to help us.
It starts with our new invention, the Opigram: a way to record your opinions and experiences that is organised to be useful to you and to other people. There are three phases:
Begin to fill out your Opigram by answering short surveys, rating things and contributing more detailed opinions. This isn't like a normal YouGov survey - with Opigram you can do as much or as little as you want, whenever you feel like it. Just log in via the YouGov website. You get a summary of everything you said and you can change it or add to it any time you like. Think of it as your ever-expanding, structured profile page. You're building your online genome.
See what other people think about the same things, and what else they like. Explore common points of interest, people who agree (and disagree!) with you, and find the members of the panel with the most similar tastes - in books, in movies, in music and much more.
We put all the Opigrams together and create a new kind of 'human search'. Looking for books or blogs or music or shops recommended by people with similar tastes to you? Want to see who also loves your favourite restaurant and which other ones they like? Want holiday ideas from people like you? Or check out reviews of a new movie from people whose tastes you know you can trust?
This is a new way to let others have the benefit of your experiences and insight, and share in the wisdom of the rest of the world. To make it happen, we need your help.
Your mission is simple: start creating your profile and make your opinions and experiences count!
